Celebration of Life for the unanimously revered jazz critic: Robert Bush

I had the amazing privilege to photograph the celebration of life of the jazz music critic Robert Bush. When I tell you this man was beloved by his community, it is not an exaggeration. When world wide renowned artists travel to perform at your celebration of life, you’re kind of a big deal… move aside Ron. There’s a new name in town.

It was a pleasure and an honor to be trusted to photograph this intimate and powerful event and it was important to me to infuse my love of jazz in those photos as much as for the satisfaction of doing my job well as it was because I was photographing another form of art being performed. And the more I put in each frame, the more my clients will be able to connect to those images.

It’s a privilege to do this job. It truly is. I am truly thankful to do the things I do for my clients. Photography is what I do but it’s like any other art form, it doesn’t feel like it exists without others to enjoy our work.

So, enjoy these photographs. I sure enjoyed taking them.

P.S.: Thank you Marc for trusting me.
