This is the ultimate personalized storytelling photography day! it’s a unique experience as I focus equally on beauty and story. I guarantee your photos will not look like everybody else's. Documentary wedding photographers like myself aim to give a little more oomph to your wedding photos. I am here to observe and document the story of your day on top of doing all the usual photos you are used to seeing. I shoot from the point of view of one of your favored guests and often interact with them to make them feel comfortable. it’s unintrusive, more authentic, and adds less pressure on you!

Both styles are valid obviously. There’s a reason traditional wedding photography is still very much around. But to me, it often feels like regular wedding photographers go through a formula that works but often leaves out the beauty of the unexpected, humorous, or emotional moments that give a wedding its own particular life.

With a documentary wedding photographer, you can expect me to be present throughout the day, capturing moments as they unfold. I love being there early in the day to document the preparations and stay until the main events of the reception have been captured. Documentary photographers like myself tend to blend into the background. This way, I can capture genuine emotions without drawing attention to myself.

Of course, we can do portraits. I love to use the light of the day and be creative in the moment. I relish those times with the bride and groom. Remember, I am here for you, to serve your day; first looks, bridal portraits, and family photos are all part of the story of the day but it’s ok if you don’t want to do it also.

I am so glad you asked. YES. I absolutely do offer prints and albums. In fact, there are two 8.5x11 prints included with every collection because I want you to walk away with a high qaulity physical memento of the day. I am a skilled printer and designer of albums as well and we can talk about that during the booking call.

I deliver all my photos through an online gallery where you can download the images, share them on social media, etc. Also, as an added treat with every collection, you get 2 8.5x11 archival prints from the day of photos or from the engagement session.

Portraits sessions and engagement shoots are delivered through the online gallery in about 14 days from your shoot and the wedding day photos are delivered 30 days from your wedding day.

To have a good experience with your documentary wedding photographer, it's essential to that your photographer communicate with you how they do their job and educate you about their process. Additionally, encourage your guests to relax and enjoy the day, knowing that the photographer will be unobtrusive and focused on capturing authentic moments.
