Capturing Confidence: I love My Job social event with OutBio San Dieg
In 2024, diversity and inclusivity and inclusivity are not just buzzwords but fundamental principles that drive progress and innovation in our society. As a person (and a business owner) who has many friends, colleagues, and clients from every walks of life and every orientations, I do my damnedest to be an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, someone they would be proud of having by their side. I do feel like I have the power to showcase the best version of their life/event behind my camera.
So when I was introduced to Outbio San Diego (an amazing budding association dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ community in the biotech industry in San Diego), it was a no-brainer for me that if I could be of help, I would… and that’s kind of how I became one of their sponsors. :)
and just last week, they organized one of their networking events tailored specifically for professionals in the biotech industry here in SD and I offered to set up my headshot station there.
Almost anybody who attended (I have limited time 😭 after all) would get the opportunity to have a brand new headshot for their LinkedIn, Their Intranet, or their Zoom profile... or any other way they might want to use it. I’m not gonna judge.
It was wonderful to see that the event was sold out and that A LOT of people had chosen to come to get a headshot. It made me happy that it brought so many to the event and I am ia photographer because I love working with people. It was so successful that we’re thinking of doing it again soon.
I recommend you check out Outbio. Follow them on IG… and for that matter follow me AND Ampersand People, one of the other sponsors of the evening. They are a great recruiting company.
If you feel so inclined to see me at work, it’s just a one-minute video that one of my clients of the evening was kind enough to record for me as I was taking headshots of her friend.
