To recap for the new arrivals:
It'll always be about what's going on in my photography world
I'll send something only when there's an interesting update.
I think you'll be relieved to know that I'm not really selling anything.
This is really so that we can stay in touch.
It'll be inconsistent in quality. ;)
Today, we got 2 big things and an afterthought.
Here goes...
A.
I am showing something:
6 months ago, I made this image.
This photo will be on display... and for sale... HINT... at La Bodega Gallery in Barrio Logan for their Black&White Show THIS Saturday, February 23. I'll be there around 7pm.
Please go... support local artists (like myself) that do incredible work (like myself)... ;)
I really hope to see you there... if anything, just come so that my fragile pride does not take too much of a hit. I'd like to get out of bed the next morning.
...
...
Was that too much? I felt I was leaning a bit hard into it.
B.
A cool thing I did with a really good photographer:
I am fortunate to be the VP of programs at PPSDC. It's a position that requires me to communicate and befriend a lot of great photographers and bring interesting people to our organization. That's why street photographer Valérie Jardin was in town last week.
We all had a great time listening to her talk and shooting together. That's when it took a left turn for me... she decided (unwisely) to invite me to her internationally popular podcast Hit The Streets!
I am sorry what?... no, I'm not freaking out about it...
ME!? pfff... pleeease. I do this kind of things every day. Actually, I'm a little offended you would think that.
Moving on...
The recording went very well. I had a great time. we talked about being French, we laughed, we talked about important things. Anyways, we're basically related now.
I would really appreciate it if you could subscribe and listen to it on a loop so that the stats go through the roof and she will have me on again. Please and thank you.

"it's an honor to take a good photograph of anyone."

That's it for today.
