house wedding with Mia and Zeena in La Mesa

I have always loved house weddings, and this one has been one of my favorites. There are no better days than a LGBTQ wedding to cement your knowledge that love knows no color, gender, or orientation. I had the honor to help Mia and Zeena celebrate this truth behind the lens of a camera. There was so much love and acceptance between the two families of the brides. When a black family and an indian family come together to celebrate the wedding of their girls, I can assure you that it’s a party.

As a wedding documentary photographer, my goal was to capture the authenticity and emotion of the day in every frame. From the tearful embraces shared between loved ones to the spontaneous moments of laughter and joy, I aimed to document the essence of love in its purest form. Every click of the shutter was a tribute to the unique love story unfolding before me, a story filled with courage, resilience, and above all, love. It was about good food, cultures coming together, music, laughter… and pot. yes, pot. San Diego being home to lots of dispensaries and the couple being a fan of Mary Jane, it was a different sort of open bar.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy some of my favorite photos of the day.
